Bonsai
A tree on every key. It grows while you work.
Bonsai puts a tree on every key of your Stream Deck. Plant a seed and a bonsai unique to that seed grows in real time, for months and years, whether the deck is on or not. It asks for a few quiet minutes a day.
One price. No ads, no purchases, no account, no network.
The listing is reserved and this button turns into a link the moment Elgato publishes it.
Or try Bonsai Lite, free ↓One seed, three years
A tree grows from the clock, whether the deck is on or not. Every seed has a number: the same number always grows the same tree, and no two numbers agree.

Tap a tree, and the deck is its workbench
The tree is shown across four keys, with the tools beside it. Each tool says in a few words when it is next wanted. A tool takes real minutes, and you can leave while it is at work.

Minutes of work, weeks of consequence
Wire bends a tree over six weeks. A repotting lasts a year. And everything that was ever done to a tree is in its journal, with a replay of its life.

Eight seeds, four seasons
You begin with juniper, Chinese elm and Japanese maple. Black pine, cherry, ginkgo, azalea and wisteria open as your oldest tree grows, never for money. A tree's year is four weeks, one week a season, or the real seasons of your hemisphere if you would rather.

Made to be quiet
- Nothing dies
- A neglected tree does not die. It slows, runs wild and waits, and one watering sets it going again. An unpruned tree is not wrong, only wilder.
- Nothing nags
- No currency, no streak, no score, no notification. The only thing on the shelf that asks for you is a small drop on a thirsty tree.
- A few minutes a day
- Once a tree is watered there is nothing more to do for it today. A visit is two to five minutes, like the real thing.
- The light of your own day
- Paper and a pale sun by day, a warm evening, and a moon at night, following your computer's clock.
Bonsai and Bonsai Lite
Bonsai Lite is free and stays free. The two install side by side; the tree in Lite is not carried over.
