Inwords
The time, in words.
Inwords writes the time on your Stream Deck Neo's Infobar the way you would say it: “quarter past three”, “Viertel nach drei”, “il est presque midi”. Eleven languages, each the way it is spoken where you are, set as large as the little screen allows. And every time the words change, the change is a small piece of typography in motion.
Free. No ads, no network, no account.
The listing is on its way, and this button turns into a link the moment Elgato publishes it.
Try it
This is the plugin's own engine, running in your browser. Move the time, play a whole day, pick a language and a look, and watch the words change.
Said the way it's said where you are
A clock in words is only right if it talks like the people around it. In Hamburg it is “Viertel vor vier”; in Vienna, “dreiviertel vier”. Mexico City says “cuarto para las cuatro”, Madrid “las cuatro menos cuarto”. Inwords takes the way of saying it from your computer's region, and you can choose another.
Three ways to tell it
Changes worth watching
When the words change, they don't just swap. The words that stay glide to their new places; the ones that go tumble out letter by letter; the new ones bloom in, and a new hour arrives with a little twinkle. Or let the letters roll over like a departure board, or type themselves out.
Make it yours
Five colourways, one of which follows the sky through the day, from deep night through dawn to dusk, and four typefaces. They are drawn into the plugin itself, so the words look the same on every computer.
Always as large as it fits
The Infobar is small, so every phrase is measured with its real letters and set as large as it can be: on one line, two or three, and never broken in the middle of “es ist” or “las tres”. “Midnight” fills the bar on its own.
